Closing the gap between transformation and perception

Following a series of strategic divestments and acquisitions, Sandvik recognized a growing gap between its transformed identity and how it was perceived by key stakeholders, including shareholders and prospective talent.

Founded in 1862, Sandvik had evolved into a forward-looking company at the forefront of electrification, automation, and digitalization, helping customers accelerate the transition toward net-zero and circular industries.

To reflect this transformation, Sandvik partnered with Eve to redefine its Brand Strategy and modernize its identity. The ambition was to unlock the full potential of the Sandvik brand and ultimately strengthen long-term shareholder value.

Redefining brand strategy and architecture at scale

Eve helped redefine the Brand Strategy and establish a clear brand architecture framework for the group. Building on this foundation, the team designed and implemented a cohesive brand experience across a wide range of physical and digital touchpoints.

In parallel, Eve developed and rolled out a refreshed brand identity and digital experience for Sandvik Coromant, tailored to the needs of its knowledge-driven, high-precision products and services.

"We appreciated how Eve were quick to understand our business challenges and the role we as a company and brand want to play in bringing our industry into the future."

Björn Roodzant, Head of Group Communications and Sustainability

A unified brand experience across 40,000 employees

Eve supported Sandvik in the global rollout of its repositioning and new brand identity, including comprehensive guidelines and directives covering a wide range of physical and digital assets. The implementation engaged large parts of Sandvik’s 40,000-strong organisation, ensuring alignment and consistency across the group.

To drive successful adoption, Eve developed practical enablement tools such as demos, training videos, and best-practice examples. These resources equipped teams to apply the new identity consistently across markets and touchpoints. The result was a strong initial implementation, improved return on investment, and a scalable foundation for a unified and enduring brand experience going forward.

A global high-tech engineering leader

Sandvik is a global, high-tech engineering group providing solutions for the manufacturing, mining and infrastructure industries. The group has 40,000 employees. The Sandvik brand was awarded with the distinction “Red Dot” in the Red Dot Design Award in 2024.
